Panathinaikos-Barcelona 56-63

Panathinaikos fought, but Barcelona held the Greens without a basket for the final six minutes in claiming a 56-63 road win at OAKA, for Euroleague Top16, Day 5.
Barcelona started off with a 2-10 (4′) and Panathinaikos fought back to cut the margin to 4 points (11-15, 6’30”) and to take the lead (23-22, 9’43”). Spaniards pulled away behind two three pointers by Huertas and Alex Abrines capped a 0-12 (23-34, 13’25”). Diamantidis and Bramos took over (27-34,15’10”), but the Catalans stretched the lead to 13 (29-42, 18′).
Defense took over for Panathinaikos, narrowing the gap to 5. Barcelona took control again, but Fotsis, Lasme and Diamantidis were there to lead to 47-52 at the end of the third quarter. The captain took over to make it 51-55 (32’45”). Barcelona had the answer (51-59, 33’15”), Jonas Maciulis scored a three pointer (54-59, 34′) but his free throws (56-62, 37’50”) were the only Panathinaikos scored in the final six minutes of the game.
