Panathinaikos OPAP – Fenerbahce Beko 81-78

Panathinaikos OPAP Athens held off a late Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul charge for an 81-78 victory on Tuesday night at OAKA. The Greens had led by as many 13 before Fenerbahce fought back and had a pair of three-pointers by Nando De Colo to tie it in the closing seconds. The first was deemed a two-point shot because De Colo's foot was on the line and he missed the second at the buzzer. The result kept Panathinaikos in fifth place with a 9-5 record, while Fenerbahce slipped to 5-9. Jimmer Fredette tied his personal bests with 22 points on 10-of-11 free-throw shooting. He made 5 free throws down the stretch to help preserve the victory. Nick Calathes, who fouled out with 4 minutes remaining, produced 15 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists. DeShaun Thomas added 13 points and Georgios Papagiannis had 10 points and 6 rebounds. Kostas Sloukas led Fenerbahce with 15 points and 8 assists, Nando De Colo scored 13 and Joffrey Lauvergne 11.
