Ataman: “Every game is a final for us”
Ergin Ataman and Kendrick Nunn spoke to the media on behalf of Panathinaikos BC AKTOR, ahead of tomorrow’s matchup with AS Monaco (27/3, 21:15).
In his statement, the coach pointed out: “Every game is a final for us. We have three consecutive wins, but we lost many games during the season. Every game is critical, we must be ready and aggressive. We lost the first game against AS Monaco and tomorrow, like in the previous games at our home court, all of us – the fans and the players – must be active. The only way to go to the Final Four is to win these finals and have a good position in the standings for the Playoffs.
I am not sure about Grant. He will try tomorrow morning. It is a difficult situation. He has a small fracture in his hand. We will see. We had many excuses during the season, we were missing players. Now there are no excuses. Even Sharp will play tomorrow, we have to win. I do not know about Rogkavopoulos. The doctor will inform me. I do not know how serious the situation is.”
From his side, Kendrick Nunn noted: “It will be a good game. We have good momentum going. I expect us to have a lot of energy. AS Monaco is an excellent team and it will be difficult. We have confidence, we are all moving together united and that is great. The goal is to get into the Playoffs, whatever the position may be. If we achieve that, the goal then is the title, but first we focus on AS Monaco.”
