Panathinaikos BC AKTOR prevailed with a score of 106-89 over the Adelaide36ers in the second game of the final day of the 7th Pavlos Giannakopoulos Tournament at the Qudos Bank Arena in Sydney. Top scorer for the Greens was Kendrick Nunn with 26 points.

The Adelaide36ers started strong, leading 8-2 in the first three minutes of the game. Panathinaikos BC AKTOR cut the lead to one point (7-8 at 4’), but Mike Wells’ team extended it to +8 (7-15), before the Greens closed the gap to -2 (17-19) at the end of the first quarter.

By the 15th minute, the scoreboard at Qudos Bank Arena read 25-33 in favor of the Australian team, but the Greens responded with a 7-0 run in just one minute to make it 32-33. Panathinaikos BC AKTOR tried to stay close, but the nominal visitors held on to the lead and went into halftime ahead 47-39.

Back on the court, the Adelaide36ers pushed the lead to +10 (39-49), but Ergin Ataman’s players cut it to 41-49 by the 22nd minute. Panathinaikos BC AKTOR kept chipping away and tied the game at 51-51 by the 25th minute. Three minutes later, they took a +3 lead (62-59), and by the 29th minute they were up 68-64, closing the third quarter ahead 73-68.

The start of the fourth quarter marked an explosion by the Greens, who jumped to a +12 lead (81-68) by the 33rd minute. Panathinaikos BC AKTOR maintained a double-digit lead (93-81 at 37’), with the margin reaching +18 by the 39th minute (100-82), and they secured the win with a final score of 106-89.
