As Panathinaikos BC AKTOR departed for Munich ahead of tomorrow’s game against FC Bayern Munich (15/01, 20:30), for Round 22 of the EuroLeague Regular Season, TJ Shorts spoke to the media:

“We know the schedule we have ahead of us, but we can’t look too far down the road. We know there are no easy games in the EuroLeague, even when you’re playing a team that is considered weaker on paper. We have to take it one game at a time. The next one is against Bayern Munich and all our focus is there. I hope we can get another win and keep the momentum we have from the game against Bologna.

The key will be our defense. I think we put in a good defensive effort against Bologna and we need to continue that now that we’re playing away from home. We have to focus on our defense and then play our game from there.

We had very good practices, and the coach was honest after the game against Peristeri. He felt that we were too relaxed in that game, and as a team we felt the same way. We had a good week of practice and now we have to show a different face than we did on Sunday, step onto the court and get the win.”
