Batista: "All players would like to play in Panathinaikos"

Esteban Batista made his first statements as a player of Panathinaikos to the official website of the team (paobc.gr). Notably, the Uruguayan center forward talked about Dusko Ivanovic and the team's captain, Dimitris Diamantidis.

"I feel very happy that I am a member of Panathinaikos. I've played in the Euroleague for many years, but this is the first time that I will play in Greece and particularly for a team like Panathinaikos. Everybody knows Panathinaikos as a team with great history and many fans, and all players would like to play at this club," he stated and continued:

"I am very pleased that I will meet again with Mr. Ivanovic, who had trusted me in Laboral Kutxa. He is an excellent coach and man."

Finally, he spoke about Dimitris Diamantidis: "When you listen to the name of Panathinaikos, then the first thing that comes to your mind is Dimitris Diamantidis. He is one of the top players in Europe. His titles and individual achievements in Euroleague speak for themselves. He is a great player and I feel happy to be his teammate."
