“Lack of concentration…”

Argyris Pedoulakis and Jonas Maciulis had a common reference point in their statements in the Press Conference straight after the end of the game; lack of concentration during the first half.

Panathinaikos Head Coach, stated: “We failed to be concentrated during the first half. Our mind was anywhere but in the court something more than apparent in turnovers committed and few assists accumulated. We approached the ball a second to late We cleared up our act however for second half, we established a more pleasing pace in frontcourt and roundabout there is where the game came to an erupt stop. I wish all the best to Ilissiakos and the effort Girogos Zevgolis is committing”.

Ilissiakos Head Coach, Giorgos Zevgolis, stressed: “I believe little need be said. Standings in first half bear no justice to Panathinaikos; final result might be unfair to our efforts in first half. We gave it our best shot, but our minds are on Saturday’s game versus Panelefsiniakos, a defining game for us. Today’s encounter aided us towards many things. We had become somewhat dysfunctional during the last few games but today we exhibited a more pleasing image. We are going to have to be much better on Saturday in order to win”.

Jonas Maciulis stated: “We stepped out on court, lacking focus and the appropriate mood. It is an issue we will have to face and solve. Sometimes, when provided from a good win, we get into the next game more relaxed that we should. We know that each and every team aims to perform their best when facing us, they are all extra motivated, but we are obligated to perform accordingly and with an incentive from the encounter’s very tip-off”.

Stoglin, Illisiakos guard, added: “We knew which team we were up against. We aspired to come out, play and enjoy the game, also getting to please the fans in the court tonight. We were facing a great team, we fought at it, it was tough, but the important thing for us is the game up next”.
