Together on the One Team court – because we are all one team
Panathinaikos BC AKTOR, together with Special Olympics Hellas and, for the first time, with the participation of Pierce – The American College of Greece, joins forces this season as part of the EuroLeague’s Corporate Social Responsibility program, ONE TEAM.
With 12 years of active participation in the initiative, Panathinaikos BC AKTOR continues to consistently support actions that promote inclusion, equality, and respect.
At the heart of the program lies the meaningful promotion of volunteerism and inclusion. The unified partners, students of Pierce, with enthusiasm, responsibility, and team spirit, actively support the athletes of Special Olympics Hellas, helping them showcase their abilities, develop their skills, and achieve their goals.
Through this collaboration, inclusion takes on real form: people from different sports background come together, share experiences, and create a unified team — one in which everyone has a place, a voice, and a role.
The program’s motto, #WeAreAllOneTeam, will once again resonate across the practice courts of the Telekom Center Athens, symbolizing the power of sport — and basketball in particular — to unite people beyond differences.
Special Olympics Hellas athletes and students from Pierce – The American College of Greece will share the same court, engaging in joint activities and interactive games designed to strengthen teamwork, highlight the value of collaboration, and bring the message of inclusion to life.
This significant initiative will be carried out with the participation of this year’s ONE TEAM ambassadors, Alexandros Samontourov and Juancho Hernangómez — the latter once again recognized as a EuroLeague ONE TEAM Top Ambassador. Both players will take active part in the sessions, sharing the values of basketball and the true essence of teamwork, both on and off the court.
Through this collaboration, Panathinaikos BC AKTOR reaffirms its ongoing commitment to actively supporting social inclusion, providing space for everyone to be part of the same team — part of ONE TEAM.
