Panathinaikos BC Superfoods signed a 2-years contract with Ian Vougioukas.

Ian Vougioukas born May 31, 1985 in London, England and last played for Lokomotiv Kuban of the VTB United League. Standing at 2.11 m (6 ft 11 in), he plays the center position.

While playing for the Saint Louis Billikens, Vougioukas was named First-Team All-Atlantic 10 Conference and was ranked 14th in the A-10 in scoring at 13.9 points per game and sixth in rebounding at 7.4 rebounds per game.

Vougioukas started playing basketball in Greece, with Aris Glyfadas, before traveling to the US, where he stayed until the end of the 2006–07 season. After college, he joined the Greek League club Rethymno and played with the squad during the 2007–08 season. In 2008, he joined the Greek EuroLeague club Olympiacos Piraeus.

Vougioukas moved to Panellinios for the 2009-10 season. In 2010, he signed with Panathinaikos, to a 2-year contract. With Panathinaikos, Vougioukas won the Euroleague and Greek League championships in 2011. He also won the Greek Cup with Panathinaikos in 2012.

In July 2012, Vougioukas signed two-year deal with the Russian club UNICS of the VTB United League.

In September 2014, Vougioukas signed a one-year deal with the Turkish club Galatasaray Liv Hospital. In December 2014, he left Galatasaray. On February 26, 2015, he signed with ratiopharm Ulm of the German Bundesliga for the rest of the season.

On 8 September 2015, Vougioukas signed a one-year deal with Lithuanian club Žalgiris Kaunas.

On 17 August 2016, Vougioukas signed a 1+1 deal with Russian club Lokomotiv Kuban.[13] On July 1, 2017, Lokomotiv officially opted out of their deal with Vougioukas.

Vougioukas was a member of the junior Greek national basketball teams. With Greece's junior national teams he played at the 2001 FIBA Europe Under-16 Championship, and the 2004 and 2005 FIBA Europe Under-20 Championships. He also won the bronze medal at the 2003 FIBA Under-19 World Championship, and the silver medal at the 2005 FIBA Under-21 World Championship.

With the senior Greek national basketball team, Vougioukas won the silver medal at the 2009 Mediterranean Games. He also played at the 2010 FIBA World Championship.
