Assist to the... record

The name "Dimitris Diamantidis" is the one mentioned more often in the statistics released by Euroleague for every game scheduled to be played. Diamantidis may break another record in the series against CSKA Moscow.

Diamantidis is the first in assists in Euroleague this season. He has already dished 156. He is just 14 assists shy to be the players with the most assists dished in one season, while having 6,6 per game. 3D is close to the first place of the all time leaders in assists in Euroleague. He has 964 assists. He is in the second place, second only to Theo Papaloukas (977). Diamantidis is close to another barrier, since he needs only 3 points shots made to reach the 300 mark in Euroleague, being only the 8th player in the history of the competition to reach this number.

Stephane Lasme remains the player charged with the most fouls (3,7 per game). The good news is that he is getting closer to the top of the list in block shots. He is third with 135 block shots and just 5 shy to reach the second place of the list. He has recorded at least one block shot in 5 consecutive games and at least one in eight out of nine last games.

Mike Batiste is getting ready for his own record. He needs 10 points to reach 2500 in Euroleague. He will be just the 4th player in the history of the competition to reach this number. The first three are Navarro (3461), Marcus Brown (2739) and Lakovic (2524).

Mike Bramos has at least one three point shot made in 10 of his last 11 games in Euroleague. Antonis Fotsis has at least one 3 point shot made in 5 consecutive games.

Panathinaikos presents the best defense in Euroleague allowing 70.6 points.
