Alvertis: "Fight for a spot in Final Four"

Panathinaikos is heading to Russia in order to face to face CSKA Moscow for Euroleague Play Offs tomorrow (16/4, 19.00) and on Friday (18/4, 19.15).

"We are heading to a series of tough games", stated Fragkiskos Alvertis, the coach of the team, only to add: "We don't have the home court advantage, against a very good team, which has a full roster and great quality. We are going to base our effort on our good elements, wishing to demonstrate a thirst for positive results. We are going to give our fight in order to advance to the Play Offs".

Alvertis was asked about the game plan of the team: "We have to take advantage of some things we have comparing to the big bodies CSKA has. A great effort will be required, especially in the paint. But these are technical things. Our goal is to demonstrate will for the qualification in the next round".

Finally, when he was asked if one win in Moscow can give the advantage to Panathinaikos, he noted: "One win cannot give you advantage or disadvantage. It's a tough series of games and consistency is required in order to achieve your goal".

Fotsis: "The season begins now"

The first thing Antonis Fotsis was asked is whether now, that Top16 is over, he would choose CSKA: "We never had the chance to make a choice and we wouldn't do that. We are now facing CSKA. The season begins now for us. Whatever we have worked on, we need to see it on the floor and in this play offs series".

Fotsis was asked too if one win in Moscow can make the difference for the Greens: "This depends on each and every game separately. Because we may play well in Moscow and to achieve our goal there, but not to play as well in Athens and destroy everything. We have to be focused on each and every game, no matter where we play. Our mind is set on tomorrow's game only!"

Regarding the quality CSKA has, Antonis Fotsis commented: "CSKA is a very good team and its history is well known. The task we have ahead of us is tough. That's why we are going to go there to give everything aiming for the best".
