Game 2 and the records

Dimitris Diamantidis is getting closer to break another record. And he is not the only one. Jonas Maciulis and Stephane Lasme want make the step to their peak. All these while Panathinaikos practiced today at Moscow, getting ready for Euroleague Play Offs Game 2 against CSKA, after losing the 1st one (77-74). Second game is scheduled for tomorrow (18/4) at 19.15.

Assists

Diamantidis dished 7 assists, reaching a total 971 this year. He needs 7 more to be the first in the all time assist leaders, leaving behind Theo Papaloukas (977). Also, he dished 163 assists this season and he needs 8 more to be the player to dish more assists in a season in Euroleague history. And more barrier for him to break: He needs 1 3point shot made to be the 8th player in Euroleague history to reach the 300 mark.

Steals

Jonas Maciulis is ready to lead in a different category. His 5 steals in Game 1 helped him reach a total 41 in the season. He is in the second place of the list, behind Jamon Gordon, trailing by just one steal. We must note here that Dimitris Diamantidis is number 3 in the list with stealing the ball 36 times. Also, Maciulis, with his 5 steals tied his own personal record in Euroleague, since he had 5 steals against Olympiacos at OAKA.

Block Shots

Stephane Lasme came one step closer to his own record. He needs 4 block shots to reach the 2nd time of the all time list. He is entering Game 2 with 136 block shots. He marks at least one block shot in six consecutive games and nine out of ten last games.

Shooting

Mike Batiste didn't score yesterday, so he still needs 10 points to be the 4th player in Euroleague history to reach the 2500 mark.

Antonis Fotsis has at least 1 three point shot made in six consecutive games.

*Fotsis has reached the 9th place in the all time scorers' list in Euroleague wearing Panathinaikos' jersey. Now Sarunas Jasikevicius is at 10th place (676).

*Bramos moved past Nikos Chatzivrettas and now he is at the 10th place in rebounding (179). The next "obstacle" for him is his coach, Fragkiskos Alvertis, now at the 9th place with 185 rebounds.

*Maciulis surpassed Darryl Middleton in steals and he is just 3 steals shy from the first 10, where Stratos Perperoglou is now (67). Also, with the two 3 point shots he made in Moscow, tied Vassilis Spanoulis with 77 at the 9th place.
