Blums: “Proud and Happy at Panathinaikos”

Today (13/11) at noon Panathinaikos team and staff are departing for Barcelona for tomorrow’s (14/11) round 5 game of the Euroleague regular season.

Julian Wright will stay in Athens for injury treatment and Giorgos Papagiannis will replace him. In the morning training session, Vladimir Jankovic and Loukas Mavrokefalidis didn’t practice at full pace due to minor problems.

Blums: “Proud and Happy”

Janis Blums, who signed a two-year deal with Panathinaikos, talked to the press before the departure for Spain. He expressed his satisfaction with the deal that was the result of his hard effort, which will be continued. He also stressed the help of all the team members that made his adjustment easier and faster. Regarding the game against Barcelona he said that, as in every game, Panathinaikos will get on the court to win.

Mavrokefalidis: “Team Effort”

Loukas Mavrokefalidis also talked to the press. He said that Barcelona is a favorite to win the Euroleague, but he and his teammates will follow coach Ivanovic’s instructions and through team effort they may get the win. He concluded his statement referring to his team’s good start in the season that makes him and his teammates feel good and saying that they will keep working hard.
