Ivanovic: "Twenty Minutes Are Not Enough"

Panathinaikos head coach Dusko Ivanovic talked to the press after the away game against Armani Milan: “The first half was bad for us for two reasons. First, we made many mistakes, which is unusual for us. Second, we played at a slow pace. We were not good at the fast breaks, so we did not score easy baskets. In the second half we were better. However, in order to be competitive in the TOP 16, we must be good and concentrated throughout the game –– twenty minutes are not enough. Next we have to games against great opponents, Aris BC and Barcelona, where we have to perform better.”

Diamantidis: “Big Thanks to Our Fans”

Dimitris Diamantidis stated after the match: “First of all, I want to say a big thanks to Panathinaikos fans who traveled here to see us. As for the game, we tried to win it, but there are some things that we have to do better and that is what we want. The match was decided by the free shots; I missed and we lost. The goal was to qualify to the TOP 16. As a team we want to get better and better and do our best in every match –– this is something we already do, although not for 40 minutes, but certainly for the most of the game. Now we have to look at the game against Aris BC. We want to get better, we try to do so and we will continue trying. Game by game we managed to qualify to the TOP 16. Every day we work very hard in training focusing only on the next match. We want to correct our mistakes and make the fans feel happy with the basketball we play. Until now, we have not been all together due to injuries. Today it was Lefteris [Bochoridis], while Nelson is out for a long period and when he comes back the team will be different with him.”
