Panathinaikos signs Ukic in 2-year deal

Roko-Leni Ukic will play for Panathinaikos for the next 2 years after signing his contract with the team.

Ukic (1m96, guard) was born in Split, Croatia on December the 5th, 1984. His career began in KK Split (2000-2005). He moved to Spain and TAU Ceramica (2005-06) and from there to Barcelona (2006-07). It was time to move again. He signed for Virtus Roma in Italy (2007-08), deciding at the end of the year to play in the NBA, first for the Toronto Raptors (2008-09) and then for Milwaukee Bucks (2009-2010). He made the trip back to Europe in January 2010 for Fenerbahce/Ulker, staying there for the next two seasons.

Ukic was drafted in 2005 at number 41 by the Toronto Raptors. He celebrated titles with every team he played. Championship (2003) and Cup (2004) in Croatia, Cup in Spain with Baskonia (2006) and Barcelona (2007), while playing for Fenerbahce/Ulker he was champion and cup holder two years in a row (2010, 2011).

At the same time he was member of all the youth national teams of Croatia and of course of the National Team of Men. He was U18 European Champion (2002), he reached the semifinals of the U19 World Championship (2003) counting 19,8ppg, 4,6rpg, 4,4apg, 2,6spg. He was a member of the National Team of Men of Croatia in Eurobasket 2005, 2007, 2009, in the World Championship 2010 and the Olympic Games 2008.
