Panathinaikos - FC Bayern Munich 78 -71

Panathinaikos Athens grabbed its first win this season by beating FC Bayern Munich 78-71 at home. The hosts improved to 1-1, but the visitors dropped to 1-1 after failing to follow up their German derby victory with another triumph.

Kostas Sloukas missed out due to injury, but Mathias Lessort stepped up with a player-of-the-match performance in Athens. Lessort led his team with 16 points, Jerian Grant added 14, Marius Grigonis had 11 and Juancho Hernangomez recorded 10.

An extraordinary Leandro Bolmaro scored a game-high 19 points, going 9-for-12 on two-pointers, but he couldn't help his team turn the game around. Devin Booker added 11 and Isaac Bonga had 10.
The hosts were in front throughout the entire game and even grabbed a 15-point lead in the second quarter. Yet, whenever Panathinaikos tried to finish the game off, Bayern bounced back and reduced the deficit to single digits to stay in the game. The guests even went on a 0-9 run in crunch time to trim the difference to 3 points, but Grant finished the game off from the free-throw line.
